2017 GIRLS PYLAX Coach Bios
Played on the Allegheny College Varsity Lacrosse team for 4 years (2011-2014). Was a three time captain earning an All NCAC honorable mention (2011) and a spot on the All NCAC second team (2014). Additionally, was awarded the Comeback Athlete of the Year by Allegheny College (2014). Kellee played three years of Varsity Lacrosse at York High School (York, Maine) and was a two-year captain for the Wildcats. Additionally she played Club Lacrosse for Seacoast United (NH) for two years. Kellee coached for PYLAX in the spring and fall of 2016.
Played on the Saint Francis University Division I lacrosse team as a defender from 2008-2012. In high school, she played four years of varsity lacrosse at Potomac Falls High School in Virginia as well as for the M&D LAX travel team. After college, she moved to Hawaii for graduate school, where she coached the Punahou School girls' club lacrosse team as part of the Aloha Youth Lacrosse Association. She also played for the Hawaii Lacrosse Club and helped to organize the Hawaii Lacrosse Invitational, an international tournament held in Honolulu every October. She currently works as a teacher at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, where she also coaches the girls' soccer and basketball teams. Katie coached for PYLAX in the spring and fall of 2016.
PYLAX graduate. Kate is a 2018 lacrosse commit to Lehigh University. Currently starting Fox Chapel High School Varsity Lacrosse Player. Kate is also playing for the 2018 Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club team. She was an MVP at The Top of the Class Camp in the summer of 2016 and Kate was invited to the 2015 winter Draft showcase. Kate coached for PYLAX in the fall of 2015 and spring of 2016.
Played on the Columbia University Division I women's lacrosse team where she broke the all-time season record and all-time career record for points, goals and assists. Kacie played on the Wilton High School Varsity Lacrosse team for four years and was named Connecticut State Player of the Year her senior year. She graduated in May of 2013 with a major in Economics and moved to Pittsburgh for her job in the Fall of 2013. This will be Kacie's third year as a PYLAX coach.
Jen has been coaching lacrosse in Pittsburgh since 1995 including 8 years as head coach at FCHS most recently. She also coached 8 years at Winchester Thurston and 5 years at St. Edmunds Academy in addition to coaching PYLAX. Jen is a former lacrosse & field hockey player. She played at Michigan State. Jen will support the overall PYLAX curriculum to insure consistent coaching and skills across age groups
Jackie played on the Allegheny College Varsity Lacrosse Team for four years (2012-2016). During her tenure as a high attacker, she was one of ten players to score 100 goals during her career. Her senior year, Jackie was named to All-NCAC Tournament Team. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jackie was a 2 year varsity lacrosse player and four year varsity field hockey player at Skyline High School where she was an all-state player in both sports. Jackie Played for the Ann Arbor Lacrosse Club and Players Lacrosse Club (Chicago, IL).
Alyssa played on the Allegheny College Varsity Lacrosse Team for four years (2012-2016) and earned a spot on the 2016 All NCAC second team. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Alyssa was a three year captain for Gahanna Lincoln High School. She also was a member of the 2010 second team All-OCC and earned first team All-OCC honors in 2012. Alyssa coached for PYLAX in the fall of 2015.
Katie has over 5 years of experience coaching lacrosse at different ages and skill levels. Katie played lacrosse and field hockey at Upper St Clair High School, graduating in 2004. She also has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Penn State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Katie first started coaching in 2009 when she became the head coach of the Upper St Clair Fort Coach Middle School lacrosse team. In the spring of 2010 she moved to the high school and coached the JV team for 3 years while also coaching a club middle school team for two summers. Katie was also the head Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Upper St Clair from 2009-2014.
