Welcome to PYLAX's Home!

Welcome to the home of Pittsburgh Youth Lacrosse (PYLAX)

PYLAX is a Non-Profit organization governed by parent volunteers, and coached by a hybrid team of former and current player head coaches and assistant parent coach volunteers.  Our program is open to all boys and girls in the Pittsburgh area and is consistently one of the premier youth lacrosse programs in Pittsburgh.

We offer competitive and developmental Spring programs for both Boys (from ages 5 to 15) and Girls (from ages 8 to 15).  Most Spring practices and home games take place in or around the Fox Chapel, PA area and our season concludes in June with a road trip to compete in a tournament in Baltimore, the cradle of Lacrosse.

We also offer fall skills clinics for both advanced as well as developmental players. For the new additions to the PYLAX family these fall clinics are a great way to be introduced to America’s fastest growing sport.  For our returning players the clinics are a great way to keep advancing and developing their skills.

Has concluded!  Thank you to all who participated and we can't wait to see you all again in the Spring!

We wanted to wish congratulations to both the U9 boys and U15 Boys teams who brought home hardware from the Loose Balls Tournament last weekend.

In addition Charlie Troutman won the boys U15 fastest shot competition with a fastest speed of 87MPH!!!

Huge news from the Boys side today.  Former PYLAX Player and last year's coach Doc Sczelekta is headed for the 2017 NCAA Division 1 National Championship Tournament with the Air Force Academy.  Let's all cheer on the Falcons and Doc thru the tournament!

And Here's a Link to Doc's Player Profile:

A big contratulations from the PYLAX family to former Players rostered on the US National Team!

There are currently 4 Shady Side Academy girls that made the US Lacrosse national team (Riley DiFiore, class of 2018, Emmie Lau and Abby Todd, both class of 2019, and Coco Redican, class of 2020), as well as 2 Fox Chapel High School girls (Marissa Hardiman, class of 2019 and Kate Goodwin, class of 2018).

That means 6 of the 22 players that made the team were from PYLAX!  27%!
